Job description
About us
We are a mission-driven accessibility start-up dedicated to transforming how neurodivergent individuals navigate their educational and professional journeys.
Since launching our first product, Present Pal, back in 2018, Estendio has empowered students across over 150 universities in the UK and US to excel in their presentations and communication skills. Building on this success, we recently launched our second product, Tailo, an AI-powered reading platform designed to create a tailored reading experience for every mind.
Our mission is to become the world's leading accessibility company, and we’re entering an exciting stage of rapid growth as we scale over the next year.
We are on a journey to become the world’s leading accessibility company. With an active fundraising process on the horizon, we’re entering a critical phase of strategic growth and are seeking an experienced Interim CFO to support us through this pivotal period.
About the Role
This is a hands-on, high-impact role, ideal for a commercially astute finance leader who thrives in fast-paced, start-up environments. As the Interim CFO, you’ll lead on strategic financial planning, operational finance, and investor engagement. While your primary focus will be the financial and corporate strategy, you’ll also support elements of the COO function to maintain our day-to-day operational cadence.
You will work closely with our CEO, Board, and wider leadership team to ensure sound financial stewardship and strategic execution throughout the duration of the contract.

Financial Planning & Analysis
Lead on all FP&A activities including budgeting, forecasting, and scenario planning.
Maintain and evolve our financial models to support strategic decision-making.
Own cap table management and scenario analysis for equity events.
Financial Operations Oversight
Provide oversight of day-to-day finance, working closely with a direct report responsible for transactional and operational finance (e.g. invoicing, payroll, reporting).
Ensure timely and accurate month-end reporting, cash flow management, and financial compliance.
Liaise with external accountants and legal counsel as required.
Operations Support
Collaborate with the leadership team on company-wide OKR setting and performance tracking.
Step into key elements of the COO remit, including process optimisation, risk management, and business operations where needed.
Provide strategic and operational input across cross-functional projects during the parental leave period.
